How Self Management Works with HelpD

Create Your HelpD Account

Register through the HelpD Portal — this is where everything begins.

Complete the Onboarding Form

Tell us about your needs, preferences, and how you'd like to manage your supports.

Admin Review & Welcome Call

Our Admin Team reviews your details. If everything is ready, we'll call you to welcome you to HelpD, answer any questions, and book your Care Plan Meeting. If we need anything clarified, we'll contact you to talk through the next steps.

Care Plan Meeting

Together, we review your supports and goals, confirm your Self Management setup, and discuss budgets and service options.

Budgets Finalised & Services Begin

Once your budgets are finalised, you're ready to start using services under Self Management.

Providers & Payments

Managing Providers & Invoices

Using Service Providers

You can:

  • Engage workers through platforms like Mable
  • Use your own local contractors
  • Bring new providers onboard at any time

Providers only need to onboard once through the HelpD Portal.

Invoices & Payments

Invoices can be:

  • Sent directly to HelpD by providers
  • Submitted by you on behalf of a provider
  • Submitted for reimbursement to you (where applicable)

We process payments accurately and on time, so you can focus on living your life.

Self Management Fees — Fair & Transparent

HelpD uses a sliding scale fee structure, based on how effectively your budget is utilised.

Anyone approved for the Support at Home program can register.

Whether you're new to Self Management or transitioning from another arrangement, HelpD will support you through the process.
